Pony & Trap

Our friend Rosie had been gifted a lunch for four for her birthday at this pop up restaurant in a tented village on Clifton Downs in Bristol and very kindly invited us to join them.

Here are Tess,Tony & Rosie waiting for me to get my blip taken so they can get on with their main course!

The Pony &Trap pub in Chew Magna in which they are normally based is still shut due to Covid but has had a Michelin star since 2011 and you can see why.

The food was unusual (I had a blue cheese, burnt apple and honey mille-feuille for dessert) and absolutely delicious. The tipi-style marquee was beautifully decorated and, although it was very busy, the tables were well spaced. I can highly recommend it if you're in the area.

Sophie had her first dance class of a new term this afternoon so Kate dropped her off here afterwards for her regular term time sleepover. It's good to be able to get back to having her here regularly again.
