South Facing

Branches of a maple leaning out over the water catch the light of the evening sun. This tree faces south and gets the sun most of the day, so I'm assuming that's why it's amongst the first to turn. The colours are wonderful, especially against its rather drab looking neighbours. But at least that helps to set off the vibrant hues.

Temperatures have dropped quite a bit, so that may have something to do with it as well.

Not much adjustment required: a little contrast and balancing the exposure.
