For The Record

At first sighting I thought these were Daisy Fleabane that I remembered seeing early in the season and that somehow they had resurged. But no, this flower is an Aster, I'm guessing at Heath Aster, but there are several that look alike.

I find white flowers such as these difficult to photograph in sunlight because they burn out easily and consequently I dropped my exposure by 1 and 2/3 stops. I didn't want such a dramatic contrast and that meant recovering the background in deep shadow by quite a lot in LR.

I think the result still reads as them caught in a patch of sunlight?
