Contrasting Colours

Out in the garden looking for a blip I came across this rather seasonal shot - a green shield bug on an autumnal leaf.  I loved the way the leaf colours picked up his little red eyes ... and before you ask, I haven't enhanced any colours in processing this one.

The other contenders, spiders, bees and drone flies didn't really cut it in comparison.  I did also find a striking looking little caterpillar, which turned out to be from a vapour moth.  But in the end the shield bug's colours were too delightful to pass over.
