Strange Brew

After business was concluded in the city I met a friend in The Horseshoe Bar, a fixture in Glasgow life since 1846. In 1884 it was refurbished and given the iconic name we know today. A few well-known local musicians have been known to frequent the bar and use upstairs for rehearsals and a bit of jamming.

My album of the day is "Songs From Northern Britain" by Teenage Fanclub. They've been a bit of a cult round these parts since 1989. Harmonising vocals, jangly guitars and singalong power pop. Saw them live for the first time last summer, a little bit disappointed, but still like their albums.
