MonoMonday: "Old and New"

MonoMonday's challenge today, hosted by Gadgetkid, is "Old & New".

I dug out a Bible given to me by my paternal grandmother back in 1959 (she gave one to my two brothers then too). She was a very religious lady, brought up in Aberdeen and had bought us each a copy of the King James version which had been produced as a celebration of their Third Jubilee by the National Bible Society of Scotland (hence the Saltire on the cover). She had our initials embossed on the covers, which is a nice touch.

The Bible does, of course, contain Old and New Testaments - and although this is an old translation, there are now new translations too.
