On the Inside Looking Out

Our last day in Portugal, and after breakfast we went for a walk through town and along the cliffs in the opposite direction to where we’ve gone before.

It was spectacular but turned out to be a bit of an obstacle course along very narrow paths with trees blocking the way which we had to duck under, and there were some steep climbs. We saw a model photography shoot on the beach, with lots of models and each one had a photographer, so we guess it was a photography workshop. We also found a few caves, and looked down into this one from above (see my extra) then walked down lots of steps to get down to the beach so we could go inside.

The forecast was for it to be cloudy and cooler today, but it was wrong, it was very hot and on the way back I was starting to flag so we stopped for a drink and sat in the shade briefly. It was a lovely walk though and it was nice to see things we haven’t seen before.

We were back in time for lunch and then it was another afternoon round the pool and I ended up doing an aqua gym class. Tonight was a BBQ dinner, but it was a set menu and waiter service which was nice.

We have an early start in the morning and we’re all packed and having an early night. See you when we’re back in Blighty!
