The Fisherman

We decided to book another day bed for today, but after breakfast we went for an early walk down into the village.  The Fishermen were back with their catch and were cleaning and preparing the fish, then throwing the heads and any discarded fish for the seagulls - later on, the fish will be put on the BBQ for lunch.

When we got back to the hotel, I swam 20 lengths and then the rest of the day was spent relaxing on the day bed - after yesterday's tumble, I was glad of a lazy day, but I feel fine, just a little achy.  We had another walk into the village in the late afternoon, and then had drinks on our balcony before dinner.

In Covid news, Warrington where our family lives has gone into a local lockdown as it's one of the areas with the highest numbers of cases, however Boris announced tonight the tightening of the rules across the UK.  I have to say that as much as we will have to quarantine on our return from Portugal, we've felt much safer here than back at home.  People follow the rules and everything is very strict, and ironically if we were to visit Warrington we'd be at a greater risk of catching it, than here on the Algarve.
