Light and Shade

This wall lamp is in an unusual place in this room, it’s snuck into a tight corner but very handy if you are sat under it to read or do close work.
This used to be the dining room and it lead into the utility room then the kitchen.
Then l decided have an internal wall built , taking about a sixth of the room and had it made into a walk in pantry.
I just didn’t have the storage space before and thankfully this did the trick.
It wasn’t a big job and the old doorway was left in place to still enter from the utility room.
To cut a long story short the wall lamp stayed where it was.

If you look closely you can see a chip in the shade where the electrician dropped it but it doesn’t bother me. But today l also saw a fault on the rim that l’d never noticed before but the camera did.
Thank you to Ingeborg ( who must be one happy lady this week) for hosting Abstract Thursday.

Heavy rain again but l’ve now got a wheelbarrow, Nick dropped it off yesterday but because of extra local restrictions couldn’t come in my garden.
I’ve been to the builder’s merchants and bought the bricks l need for the next part of my garden project,.
Hope this heavy rain soon stops so l can get on with it.

Did my first zoom ballet class with Northern Ballet today as the new term starts, absolutely loved it, so much better than the temporary arrangement in the summer.
Already can feel some muscles waking up that have been dormant for months.
Just made broccoli, pesto and tomato soup, will stir in a spoon of ricotta when l serve it, l am so hungry!
