Morecambe Bay

A morning in the garden with H.  We planted a clematis and an acer that I bought yesterday at the garden centre and also a redcurrant bush donated by the apartment above us.  We planted some spring bulbs - late double tulips and daffodils and then spread the bark over the soil to deter the weeds and retain moisture (although I am not sure that is essential with out climate here).  Good chat with H.  This project is now complete and we'll meet up again in the spring to see how things are progressing and what needs to be done.

Quite wet while we were out there with plastic coats on an off.  Then hail over lunchtime and Lancashire disappeared for a while.  This photograph was taken at lunchtime and I liked the wind turbines just visible on the horizon.

It doesn't seem a year ago that we had a blip meet in Ambleside.  Time flies.
