I am back to walking on the Wither Hills in the early mornings. People are advised to walk/run there in the very early mornings when the very dry grasses are dew-soaked or to visit the Park in the evening when any wind has died down. This is because of extreme fire risk.
The Wither Hills Farm Park would be a death trap for anyone up there should a fire break out.
Early morning is a good time to walk...it is fresh and the grasses have that sweet late Summer smell. There were no stock where I walked this morning but you can certainly see the paths they travel!
