Passing by....

when Queen Victoria passed the window in Edinburgh this morning, she was travelling so fast I couldn't avoid the blur.....

At a meeting in the National Library of Scotland - and took a quick step into the John Murray Archive. John Murray is an English publisher, renowned for the authors it has published in its history, including Jane Austen, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Lord Byron, Charles Lyell, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Herman Melville, Edward Whymper, and Charles Darwin. The firm was founded in 1768 by Edinburgh born John Murray.

The archive contains a lot of windows - actually state-of-the art screens, with fast moving characters depicting the breadth of Murray's writers and their world.
