Thistledown

Ann went off for her flu jab this morning, I stayed home waiting for the shopping.

This afternoon I went for a walk in Bishopton.  There is a field off Bishopton Lane with a path leading to the busy A46.  The field itself is a large area left to go wild.  There are various paths across it, I think mainly used by dog walkers.  At this time of year most of the wild flowers have gone to seed though there is still quite a lot of ragwort around.  The picture is a bunch of thistles, complete with thistledown, blowing in the wind.

I shall certainly be visiting this area again.
