We've had quite a sociable day.  This morning we met Tom and Rachel at Box Brownie for a drink and chat.  After lunch we met Maureen and Ian at The Farm, also for a drink and chat.

It's been another warm, sunny day, though I think rain is forecast with cooler weather, guess that's the end of the Indian summer.  I only took a handful of pics today, and I'm not very happy with any of them, but Ann has a soft spot for this particular wood pigeon which visits our garden every day, mainly because Ann puts food out for it.  It appears to be shading itself from the heat of the sun, though its claws must be getting a bit warm!
