Pennine Bridleway

This afternoon we had a walk through the hamlet of Mankinholes, above Todmorden.  This is where I was brought up and I have many happy memories of it - particularly the moor....
At this point the Pennine Bridleway shares an ancient packhorse track down to the next hamlet of Lumbutts.
The Pennine Bridleway is not the same as the Pennine Way; it follows a different route and has been designed especially for use by horse-riders and cyclists. The Bridleway is a 205 miles (330 Km) long National Trail running through the Pennine hills from Derbyshire to Cumbria.
