Fake or fortune?

This is currently hanging on the wall in our house so I sincerely hope it's not the original Vermeer.

It was  brought to me on a canvas rolled up in a tube.   It was apparently painted by a street artist in Vietnam and it is an amazing job.

The owner also brought an old battered frame he had bought on eBay.   After stretching the canvas on a frame I mounted it in the frame and touched up the damaged gilding on the frame.  

I now dont want to let it go :-(.   Hope no-one sees it through the window and breaks in.
