The Lozarithm Lens

Stockton Locks

My mother on a family outing, wearing a scarf I had just given her for Christmas. We had walked around Draycote Waters in the morning birdwatching and driven to the Boat Inn near Stockton for a drink and eaten a picnic lunch in the car park. In the afternoon we had a good walk along the Stockton staircase - a collection of locks - on the canal, and driven back via Kenilworth. The Spotlight Kid and I both took pictures of the castle using his tripod.

(Taken with a Pentax ME Super with a 50mm f1.4 lens, 1B filter, on Fujichrome RD-135 100 slide film, 125th at f5.6, manual setting, scanned on a printer-copier-scanner from a 10x8 print)

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Dave Brubeck Quartet - Take Five (recorded 1 July 1959, New York NY)
From the album Time Out. A shorter version from the same session was released as a single and became a surprise hit. It featured Paul Desmond's alto sax solo but excluded Joe Morello's drum solo.
