Backblip

A 10 o'clock start from Fi's house along the A50 and I had the pleasure of being a passenger in a BMW, not something that's happened before!

We made good time and managed to get our tents up at YHA Borrowdale mostly before the rain started. Full waterproofs later we had a lovely short walk... well Fi called it short but it turned out to be 9.2 miles, which quite shocked her!  She always spent her childhood holidays in Borrowdale and it was a walk which was done every year, it was a good walk and I wasn't complaining. We managed to cook in the dry but then it started again and we brought our chairs into my tent. It's a three man Vango with a sitting area as large as the bedroom - which was why I'd bought it - and there was plenty of room for us both.
