Whitehall £140....

....Whitehall is one of those places on the monopoly board that surprise me, it's very low down in the boards stature for such a significant road.

The road runs run Trafalgar Square at its northern end to the Palace of Westminster (House of Parliament) at its southern end. In between those hardly insignificant landmarks you will pass the Ministry of Defence offices, the Foreign Office, Admiralty House and the back of Horse Guards Parade, the Cenotaph (the UKs main war memorial) and David Cameron's current place of work and residence, yet Vine St is viewed as significant more valuable important on the board and that a back alley about 50 yards long that I probably won't bother to blip.

The road is predominately military based, the statue you see is that of Price George, Duke of Cambridge who was the head of the British Army from 1856 to 1895, like most of this country's modern royals was German born and the 10th child of King George III.

Thanks for all the lovely comments, stars and hearts for yesterdays blip, thanks to janescanlan for the cool extra piece of trivia linked to the Scala, for those who may not have seen Jane's comment, the cinema was closed after losing a court case for showing 'A Clockwork Orange' whilst it was banned.
I know what you are thinking, where is he off to next, for that answer you will have to ask Matthew
