Turning seven

I believe this is the first time that we’ve been able to celebrate a birthday with one of these granddaughters. They have lived so far away from us that we’ve only been been able to join them by video link for their birthday parties. This is a whole new celebration.

The middle girl turns seven today and so we are making a big occasion of it. Turning seven is a big deal, especially with a new country, and having to leave your friends behind, it can be tough. So we are making the most of it.

Birthday lunch is done, the cake is eaten with video chats to the other grandparents, and now the most exciting part as she says, the presents.

Glad we can do this with her, with them.
