Weather holds, harvest continues

Yes the farmers are saying to me this is the best weather we’ve had for harvest in some five years.

The grain is dry, unlike the past years when it’s all been wet and many grain dryers have been bought and installed.

There is no snow on the ground having to wait to melt and dry, even if that is only completed by April of the following year.

The forecast looks good. We haven’t even had a bad frost here yet and the weather app is saying mid teens to mid 20°s for the next week.

If the crop had been better that would be the only way this could have been better. But we’ll take it and celebrate what we can on this day, at this time of the year, with beautiful skies to the horizon.
