Shaggy ink cap fungus

As it was a wet morning I wasn't sure if the walking group would do a walk this morning but the decision was made to risk it.  We had a lovely walk from Queen's Head using lanes and canal towpath.  It was pouring before we set off but on the walk we only had drizzle before it started to rain again on our return. Great timing!

I saw this shaggy ink cap fungus on the walk, a lucky sighting for my blip. It's edible and it's alternative names are judge's wig or lawyer's wig.
