Nicky and her Nikon

Double exposure

Thankfully the sun shone this morning, but Xena did not do well at agility as she was very distracted by the course leader's 9 week old puppy who was in a pen right next to where we were training, and the puppy did not stop whining and crying the entire duration of the session. I think the puppy was purposefully introduced today to be a distraction as the dogs have to get used to being distracted while trying to follow commands, but for Xena it was a step too far, all she wanted to do was go play with it. Plus there is a Large Munsterlander male dog in training with us who is totally in love with Xena and he kept coming up to her to play - so the entire session was not her best! I have also realised that agility is perhaps more about training for human handlers than the dogs...all the hand signals required and left right commands, feet and body positions...oh my goodness it is a lot to remember!

I got back from training in time to say goodbye to Tommy who drove himself off back to university this morning. They are not allowed cars at university (as Cambridge Council have such a traffic problem) but he keeps the car at Adam's house which is south of the busy central area of town. The car was so fully laden! He did not get the college room he initially chose as due to Covid they have to live in 'bubbles', but he says his new room is almost as good as the one he originally chose, with lovely views out over the grassy quad. Unfortunately he started with a bad cold a few days ago (its not Covid!) and was feeling very snotty and blocked up so that is not a good start to term. The university are certainly on it regarding the Coronavirus and 2 people out of his bubble will be getting Covid tests every week, so he will be getting tested at regular intervals. I felt very sad to say goodbye to Tommy, but we will go up to Cambridge in a few weeks time to visit both him and Adam.

The Mono Monday theme this week is abstract, with double exposure being the challenge. This is an in camera double exposure. I was lacking in inspiration to photograph anything else.
