Chicken Soup Time

It's that time of year when the nights start getting colder, and if you're like me, your thoughts begin to turn to hot SOUP! My husband and I made some homemade chicken soup on this day, plus toasted cheese sandwiches on the side. (Hello, comfort foods!) These containers were leftovers for later. NOM!

The soup:
several cups filtered water
chicken breast, cooked and diced, about a cup
broth from chicken
2 Idaho potatoes, peeled and diced
several tablespoons of onion, diced
McCormick poultry gravy mix, about 1/2 pack
a baby carrot or two, diced
garlic powder to taste
ground pepper to taste
salt to taste
Simmer 30 minutes+ on stovetop.
Add a handful or two of noodles, and cook until noodles are soft.

A song for hot soup: Buster Poindexter, with Hot Hot Hot.
