The Making of Somebody

A hand is a start
but best have two.
 
And a torso,
with arms to attach the hands to.
 
Add some legs and feet
with toes to curl
or dip in the sea.
 
You’ll need a head
that will turn,
perched on top of a neck.
 
I’m keeping it simple for now
but the main thing is
 
put a brain in the head.
A good one if possible.
 
That can’t guarantee
good things will occur
 
but, like the hand,
it’s a start.
