Kilberry Stones

I was awake a lot of the night, what with the rumbling snores of you know who, the pain in my foot and the rain on the roof. The dratted ear pods kept falling out so I couldn’t listen to my podcasts.

We had hoped to walk to the Kilberry Stones but I didn’t fancy even 3 miles on the hard road so we drove. The stones are 13th century buried slabs from a medieval church dedicated to St Bechan that found their way to a Campbell castle. They have since been rescued by Scottish Heritage.

I’m a bit overwhelmed by how much there is to see in Argyll, having in the past neglected the area in favour of the Munros further north. We’ll have to rectify this omission.
