Day 199 Caught in the act

Peggy Sue receives quite a lot of flack from certain family members about her rather bulky frame.  She has reduced somewhat in size since we have become a single cat household as she now only eats one, carefully controlled portion of cat food per meal rather than scoffing three and and then two cats' portions.  She is not big on exercise but does like to retrieve a foil ball from time to time.  Today she was very interested in the tennis ball, which I had been using as a makeshift massager for my sore back.  Her interest lasted about five minutes in total and then she retired to a warm spot to have a post workout nap.

Today Mr MC and I visited the local nursery and then the nearest shopping centre to buy some birthday gifts and cards.  I would have liked to have had a wonder round Hobbycraft but my back and hip were so sore that we decided to leave it for another day.  It seems to be one step forward, two steps back at the moment-  literally!

In other news: pubs and restaurants in central Scotland are to be closed from Friday for 16 days and those establishments in other parts of Scotland can only serve alcohol outside.  It is not entirely clear, to me at least, what the logic is behind these new restrictions.
