Calne Town Gardens (Wednesday 7th October 2020)

Wandering through the Town Gardens on my way home I was struck by the autumn colours, on the trees and already on the ground, none more so than this dramatic tree. Autumn is differently expressed by the Extra.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Kim Weston - Marionette (band track recorded 17 September 1965, completed 4 October 1966)
Still in my Motown snakepit I have been playing a couple of Kim Weston CDs, including The Motown Anthology from which this comes. I bought it in 2005 when it came out, and haven't played it for a long time, but today discovered on it this forgotten Smokey Robinson-Mickey Stevenson composition that had been consigned to the vaults until then, though the song did reappear in 1970 on an album by the Marvelettes (in reality this was Wanda Rogers with some backing singers and was largely ignored at the time). Mickey Stevenson was Kim Weston's husband.
