Heading Home

It has been a short break, but a really enjoyable one. But today we head home.

I took this en-route to the car with bags. Our accommodation is a converted milking parlour, so this seems appropriate.

We have just enjoyed our hosts homemade spelt bread, granola and marmalade, packed our things and tidied up. She and the young lady who helps her have a 10 hour cleaning regime each time a guest leaves, and a gap of at least 24 hours before new guests. All clutter has been removed (so no books of DVD's provided), so it's a minimalist approach, but that suits us just fine. We can be confident about things.

The place has been really comfortable. J had sorted out the food we had brought, and we were not short of anything. We've enjoyed our books, and watched a bit of TV (Strictly and Bake Off, light good natured stuff for us at the moment).

The journey home is fine. We left in the rain, found the pay at the pump at Tesco in Lewes, and then headed north. The weather cleared by the time we reached the M25. Home made sandwiches in the car at Warwick Services where we changed driver. A good journey back. Phew !
