Rock garden

We walked downtown before lunch to take some bits and pieces relating to our old car to the dealer. When we're going to that end of town we can use Taylor's Brae and Star Brae, both sloping footpaths which lead down to the town centre. At the bottom of Star Brae is a lovely garden which so far seems to have avoided being built on, and this rock sits in the lawn on its own. Until today that is, when I noticed a nerine and a nasturtium growing beside it . I don't remember seeing those before. There's also a dovecote in the middle of the lawn - see https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2257559431036275831 - with a rapidly decreasing colony of white doves - they're being eaten by birds of prey and the owner told me that he will no longer replace them. Such a shame - I often stop to watch these beautiful birds flying around.

Quote of the Day:

Albert Camus – “Great ideas come into the world as gently as doves.”
