Two smashing years with this guy.

We chilled together in the morning, then Matt headed to work and I spent the day doing some chores.

In the evening we went for dinner in Clifton. We finally tried out Soukitchen - Mediterranean/Middle Eastern small plates - and it was so lovely. I think my favourite was the crispy cauli with tahini yogurt and burnt butter. Matt’s fave was just the hummus and zatar flatbread, simple but perfectly done. We under-ordered on purpose to save room for dessert, which was a brilliant idea - a chocolate torte and red wine poached pears for Matt, and a ‘Lebanese custard pastry’ with blackcurrant coulis and pistachios for me.

It was the first time we’d been out since the 10pm curfew and it was totally bizarre. Whiteladies looked like a busy high street at midday on a Saturday, absolutely packed. It’s hard to see how chucking everyone onto the street at exactly the same time is going to help anything.
