The Best Day of the Weekend!

According to the forecasters, and it probably is back home, but here it has drizzled and fretted and rained and blown all through our walk.  We were expecting to see views of the coastline and Ravenscar Nab as we walked along the Cinder Track from Robin Hood's Bay, the route of the railway line now long gone.  Nope, no views.  As we climbed up to Ravenscar, the wind blew hard and the drizzle drizzled more and we were in need of a cuppa.  We found the tearooms which had been advertised along the Cinder Track, but had to sit outside, so it was on with the layers whilst we drank our cuppas and ate our monster sized caramel shortbreads.

The return route followed the Cleveland Way along the top of the cliffs and the next couple of hours were spent: over trousers on, cagoules on, hats on, hoods up, hoods down, hats off, slide around a fair bit, hoods up etc etc you get the picture!

I blipped a few things but none of them were the picturesque fishing village of Robin Hood's Bay under blue skies, then as we began our climb back up to the carpark I saw this ice cream van reversing in to the waves.......it's crying out for a caption blippers!

Back to yesterday's Blip for a moment and those of you who loved our magnificent neighbour will want to know she is called Ivy.  And Wilber is the cockerel who has woken me up at an unearthly hour each morning!
