Blakeney

An overcast day with soft light and some rain showers from early afternoon but not enough to spoil our day. We enjoyed a morning walk from Blakeney to Cley along the coastal path. Lots of sky and the reeds and marsh but difficult to capture the atmosphere and magic of the place in images. The skeleton of this wooden boat hull defines some of the timelessness of the landscape and the reeds with their movement, reflections and colour and are part of the changing textures and feel of the area.
We could not resist buying some vegetable napkins, ceramics, cards and a book of bird etchings from two neighbouring art and craft shops followed by fish and chips from the paper. We can't remember the last time we did this. It feels like being on holiday.
