Large Saxon Adventurer

Returned the birthday bunting en dog walk route, to one of the many village artists - no surprise it was hand crafted by her. I decided to take a new route variation and viewed Mickleborough Hill from a different perspective to usual (as pictured). The dogs were stimulated by the new route as was I, and hence we walked at a faster pace than standard.

"Mickle" is a old word meaning large or grand, and the "borough" in this context I suspect aligns to an area decreed by medieval charter, or from saxon times. Being in the River Trent valley hills are few and small, hence the large I guess.

Last night our son found his car insurance from the same company cheaper on a price comparison website, so cancelled the old policy and set up a new through the website - the company systems wouldn't allow it to be processed as a mere credit. His blackbox (to monitor new drivers car use) arrives thursday for the original policy. My son suspects that the company systems will disgard that and send another box to use - lets see if they are that daft. He did set thepolicy up in a rush the instant he passed his driving test on a very busy day so his keeness outweighed his usual nouse.
