A bit of a wasted day

Today we had an electrician here to do an electrical installation inspection for us as Ann suddenly realised that she hadn't had the electrics checked since 2003. When we were living here permanently we never worried about things like that. Now that we rent out our very lovely St Ives home to holiday makers (check it out here) Ann likes to have all the proper health & safety stuff in place. The electrics are all fine, just in case anyone is interested.

Anyway because the electrician was coming at 9am (and we didn't know how long he would be here) I just had a trek around the field first thing and then when he arrived, off I went for my morning walk. Unfortunately it was raining so I got soaked through to my skin. But the good thing was......................... when we got back at about 10.30am he'd just about finished so we had the rest of the day to ourselves.

…......................We've wasted the whole day!!!

It's been raining off and on all day and rain makes Ann grumpy. She wanted to take me for a long walk but she didn't want to get wet so consequently we've just frittered the day away.

This afternoon I went trekking around all of St Ives beaches and just look what we saw when we got to Porthmeor Beach........................... a beautiful rainbow. Two mins later it started to pour with rain................................ so we got absolutely soaked through to our skin again.

Staying in for the rest of the evening.
