The External Stair

To "The Crypt" where we have our heat pumps and garden tools.

For some unknown reason the Crypt and the Vestry seem to have been constructed some time after the main building structure, but probably before the church opened for worship.

The quality of the masonry is not quite the same as the main building which points to a rush job.

Fallen leaves gather on the treads and the risers continually attract lichen growth.

It all has to be removed and gathered up.

I usually look into The Crypt every morning, just to make sure all is well with the technology.

Very soon cleaning the stairs of fallen leaves will become a daily part of my “Policies Patrol".

Another dreich day and the wind is coming from the North.

A day for working indoors.
