Return of Winter

Today was as cold as any day last winter. Overnight it snowed. It had already thawed when I got up, but I had to scrape sludge from my car windscreen. I’d brought my frost tender plants (tomatoes, peppers etc,) into the house for the night and it was too cold to return them to the greenhouse until lunchtime. The snow settled quite low. The hill in the background of my yesterday’s blip was well coated.
