Life through my eyes

We had really been looking forward to Slimbridge, and it was a chilly but bright morning.  We always get a cup of coffee before we go around and unbelievably this morning there was no where open (out of four options) to get a hot drink or snack.  To say we were disappointed was an understatement.  We were told the kiosk we tend to use would open at about 11:00 (only after I complained) and even then it was taking forever for the coffee machine to warm up and another 45 minutes to wait for food.  I tend to take sandwiches with me, but Mr T likes hot food.  The restaurant had three choices, fish and chips, pizza or salad, and £10 each for a small meal.  They were sitting people back to back in the restaurant, and not socially distancing people.  We were not impressed and felt they weren't valuing their members, so our membership is now cancelled!

On the way back we went to Dobbies to use my birthday voucher, get some pots and compost.  A compete contrast.  Even though we haven't been there for eight months the staff we know greeted us as if we had never been away.  It was quite busy, but felt very much safer than Slimbridge.

My natural abstract today is probably easy to work out, but just a B&W conversion.  In the extras you can see a cheeky moorhen who was helping himself to crisps from the buggy (you can just see the packet by his feet).

I put the hi viz tape on Mr T's controls and it really helped him.  He could see it better and the throttle was white and the brake green making it easier to help him understand.  He did very well.
