A Button Buck

Dear Diary,

A little Button Buck visited me.  You can just see the soft bumps on his head where his antlers will eventually be.  I always let the grass grow in late September and October so the deer will have good grazing before the winter.  They are already munching on the fallen apples.  My big old apple tree is, however, mysteriously without apples this year.  It must have been touched by a late frost.  Most of the other trees have some apples which the deer will enjoy.

Just noticed I posted a deer in the yard last year on this day.  They are like clockwork in their habits!
