The Dragonfly Lochan

'The world is still beautiful, though you are not in it.' Sorley MacLean
No dragonflies at the Lochan now but a day of peaceful stillness in which the surrounding trees were beautifully mirrored in the peaty water and the heathland round about was bejewelled with dewy Hammock spiders' webs. (See extra) Most magical of all I was suddenly in the midst of a busy flock of crested tits which arrived in the pines.
