Brightening up

What began as a dull, grey day offering little promise was improved later by the sun breaking through producing blue skies with wispy mares tails and a glorious afternoon which these bright rose hips seemed to epitomise.

As an added bonus for a brief period just before sunset there was a 'sun dog' to the left of the sun - the bright fragment of rainbow caused by sunlight refracting through icy clouds.
