Rectangles Bombi's Door

Deep in Pressmenan Wood in decaying trees there live the Glingbobs and Tootfits. Unfortunately we didn't see them today but presumably Bombi Noffnuff had been working very hard as his wages appeared to have been left at the door of his house here. Perhaps he was watching us from behind that little window or he was visiting his friends, Odon Poolittle or Jenfrey Hoolups who have tree houses nearby.

The Woodland Trust manage these woods which are believed to contain some of the last remaining ancient oak trees in Scotland and Robin Wood is responsible for the little sculptures in this wood in East Lothian. Inspite of some of the pathway being ankle deep in thick mud and remains of snow beside the track leading to the small car park, it was well worth visiting, particularly for interesting shapes of fallen trees and the bird song.
