Another pot, so what's so different?
Not a lot, but look at the brown speckles. These are not from a glaze as you might at first think, but are produced by the introduction of soda-ash during a reduction firing. Although a very modest effect on the unglazed clay, as in this example, some outstanding effects can be achieved when combined with oxide based colour glazes.
