Weekly progress report: good week with small gain despite being less active
Starting weight (25 May 2018 = 273l)
Today’s weight 197.4 lb
Average weigh last week = 196.9 lb lbAverage weight this week = 197.4 lb
Weight gain= 0.5 lb
Note: I weigh every day first thing and calculate weight loss based on average weight for the week.

Week 25 of the lockdown and 5 weeks home from hospital since discharge after stroke and I’m glad to report that my weight over the psast week has not changed by much – I record a small gain (half a pound which I suppose is disappointing after the weight losses of the previous 2 weeks. So why the gain? I have been keeping my calorie intake lower than energy expenditure but on 2 days was unable to achieve a deficit of of 500 calories when comparing intake with expenditure. The main reason for this is that I have not been so active in the previous 2 weeks I was recording an average of 5,000 steps a day whilst last week it was onlyjust over 2,100 steps per day I blame this on the weather which was not conducive for walking. In terms of diet I have been keeping to my normal low white carbohydrate diet with plenty of vegetables and berries and avoidingthe temptation of potatoes and cereals. If I can keep this up and be more active in the coming week I hope to record a weight loss. I should be able to: that is my goal for the week
