Weight loss journey progress report 25102020

Weekly progress report: good week with small loss despite the white carbohydrates
Starting weight (25 May 2018 = 273lb)
Today’s weight 194.8 lb
Average weigh last week = 197.4 lb lbAverage weight this week = 196.0 lb
Weight loss= 1.4 lb
Note: I weigh every day first thing and calculate weight loss based on average weight for the week.

Week 26 of the lockdown and 6 weeks home from hospital since discharge after stroke and I’m glad to report that my weight over the past week has dropped by 1.4 lb. I weighed in todayI weighed in today 2.6 l pounds less than I did last Sunday 194.8 lb compared to197.4 lb. I have been keeping my calorie intake lower than energy expenditure but on 2 days was unable to achieve a deficit of 500 calories when comparing intake with expenditure. The main reason for this is that I have not been so active in the previous 2 weeks and I succumbed to the temptation of some white carbohydrates (potatoes and wholemeal bread). In terms of diet apart from these couple of lapses i have been keeping to my normal low white carbohydrate diet with plenty of vegetables and berries and avoiding-the temptation too many treats and empty calories. This is despite the temptations of the numerous pictures of home bakes I received from “friends”.If I can keep this up and be more activein the coming week I hope to record anotherweight loss. I should be able to: that is my goal for the week ahead.
I had my annual MOT at the hypertension clinic and it was pleasing to note that since my last check up there in May 2019 I have only gained 2 kilograms: I was anticipating a much larger gain.
I hope you all have had a good week and that you are keeping safe and fit in these uncertain times. I also hope that the lockdown, the easing of it and the second wave of the virus is not having too much of a detrimental effect on your scales. Keep positive and safe.
