The Tramway Village at Crich, Derbyshire

Eben stayed over with us on Saturday night, as he often does. We usually have a few games before bedtime, then some stories, and the theory is that then he falls asleep. This time the final part of the plan took some time to fall into place :-)  And he woke up at 5.45 a.m. this morning. Richard heroically got up with him and made cups of tea for us both.
So we had no trouble being ready for an outing after breakfast, and Eben chose to go to the tram museum at Crich in S Derbyshire.  It was a fairly chilly autumn morning, but dry - and we had a great time exploring, and of course enjoying a good tram ride. Eben was fairly tired by late morning - no surprises there - but soon revived with hot chocolate.  Due to Covid, the interactive aspects of the museum aren't operating, much to Eben's frustration: he loves all the 'how things work' types of exhibit that you can manipulate usually. But all that, we hope, will all be there to enjoy another time.
It will be an early bedtime for R and me!
