End of an era

Many of you will recognise my beloved Camel Trophy Defender, which I've owned since 2002. When I bought it, it had 44,000 miles on it. It now has 177,700 miles.

Earlier this month, it failed it's MoT, needing rather more chassis welding than I can afford. Fortunately, ex Camel Trophy vehicles are so rare that even an MoT failure is in demand, and through a good contact, I secured a buyer.

Today, it was collected by it's new owner. I thought that I'd never sell that car, and parting with it was a very sad time, but I know it's gone to a new owner that will restore it to it's former glory and treasure it as much as I did.

Won't be the same without it though.
