Red Squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris)

This morning I got up early to pack and looked out of the window where we were staying to see this cheeky little red squirrel on the bird table. It was really hard to photograph but with patience I got this shot in the end.

According to Wiki info on red squirrels:
'Survival is positively related to availability of autumn-winter tree seeds; on average, 75-85% of juveniles die during their first winter, and mortality is approximately 50% for winters following the first.'

Hopefully this little one will survive a bit longer with a little help from the bird seed & nuts.
