Starting Out Small

The eggs that the monarch butterfly laid 20 days ago are beginning to hatch. Here are the first three. They are tiny, probably less than 2mm long. I saw that the eggs were empty, but had to take a macro to blow up before I could see the caterpillars. They are on a plant outside in my garden.
