Doorway

So, so good to be back with Mike, and in Portugal.

Had lunch at the Naval club on the seaward side of the marina here in old Faro. Garlicky carrots with bread, followed by a whole sea bream, deliciously grilled with potatoes and a huge salad, followed by an orange and carob dessert, followed by two espressos, with a jug of wine - for 30+ euros. What I call civilised.

But as we ate, storm Barbara outside the window got fiercer and red storm warnings were given, so we decided to stay put for another night. Glad we did when we went out tonight and saw all the branches blown down where we'd parked the car.

Gratefuls:
- a very peaceful afternoon, reading together on our bed, with occasional catching up when we thought of things
- that I flew in yesterday, and not today
- dry clothes

And might be neglecting comments again, don't know if it's the storm, but internet has gone, using a hotspot from Mike's phone.
